Este artículo lo dedicamos a su álbum Made in Germany publicado en 1975.

El álbum Made in Germany

Emigrant Song

So we sailed out to a new shore
Sick 'n' tired of our old floor
Hardly made the boat
Didn't know what to leave behind
So we sold our last illusions
For a brighter hope ahead
And sailed away

The reds are caught by claustrophobia
The Krauts are coming to the USA
Yodelling and shouting loud hurrah
They stand on top of Sierra Nevada

Couldn't make it at our home place
Prophets, protestants and gun-ace
Wish we'd bothered learning trade-rules
Instead of tryin' to steal the queens' jewels
Hardly made a dime didn't know where to cash in
So we sought some fast decision
Took a step into the boat
And sailed away

The reds are caught by claustrophobia
The Krauts are coming to the USA
Yodelling and shouting loud hurrah
They stand on top of Sierra Nevada

5.5.55

Wally Whitefish wailing again on W-W-W-Washington, this time from the Red Room here at the wonderful White House. In only a few minutes the curtain goes up on Amon D-u-u-u-u-l and his terrifying Teutons. And the atmosphere is as high as an elephant's bibby!

Before the show drives the whole town out of their tree, I'd like to swap a word or two with one of those mad, camp music makers, the drummer. We all know him, we all love him. Here he is, folks: Adolf Hitler!

"Das Werk nehme seinen Anfang!"

Adolf, baby, you're what they call a veteran in the entertainment biz, starting back in the 20's with the Austrian Alleycats, and then moving on to the Beer Hall Putsch Poppers, not to mention the Berchtesgaden Boppers. And then you started the underground scene in Berlin with the Bunker Bobcats, all those crazy guys from the Western front

"Kein Volk kann sagen, wir haben der Welt mehr gegeben an Kultur, Zivilisation und sonstigen Werten als das Deutsche."

Tell me something Adolf. After all them bags you've been in, don't you feel a little unravelled sometimes?

"Ich weiß nicht, wie lange nun dieses Ringen dauern wird, nur eines weiß ich: Am Ende wird unser Sieg stehen!"

Fan-tastic! Did you hear that, folks?

"Ich weiß nicht, wie lange nun dieses Ringen dauern wird. Nur eines weiß –"

Adolf, we heard you the first time. Now tell me something. You've been beating it out for a good long time, and yet you manage to keep with the young sound. What is it, clean living?

"Wissen Sie, wir sind bescheiden!"

Adolf, we're on the air. Now, one more question: You've broken bubbles with Joseph Goebbels, you've pickled herring with Hermann Göring, you even made a mess with Rudolf Heß. Now just one more thing before you cats take the stage out there at the White House and turn this town to mush. From your heart, Adolf, tell me this: If you had to do it all over again, would you have stayed a paper hanger?

Metropolis

They sit in the avenue's haze
They sit and gaze
At Metropolis

Watching the public enemy going blind
And the fat milky man
Is walking behind
Down in the cathedral corner
People lay on the marble floor
They all fell on their dirty faces
But the Bishop
Don't want to
Turn them 'round
And clowns look for evergreens
In the Ashtrays
Of all the Old Cafès

They stare at the Boulevard's haze
They talk and gaze
At Metropolis

They hear a haunting
Electric voice
Under phosphorus sky
Won't you come to my heartbeat-party
Tomorrow at the Pianola-Palais
See the divine Aurora Lady
A golden creation of the
Invisible brain
And Dr. Mabuse
Celebrates the premier of the play
TANDERADEJ

They stare at the Zeppelin-Square
They walk and gaze
At Metropolis

And they don't know
Water-guns grow
In the garage of night
You are blessed
You are so cool
You smile
So out of sight
But Fritz don't trust on me
Beware of the great brain-robbery

The wind is roaring
The rain is arising
The waters are flowing
The heroes are falling
The city is sinking
But music remains
Beware Metropolis
Beware Metropolis

Blue Grotto

(Ludwig, Ludwig
Ludwig, du bist so wunderbar
Ach Ludwig, du machst mich wahnsinnig)

Ludwig
Where did you lose your smile
Your blue eyes
Are dark from sadness
Your baby-face
Is pale from madness
Ludwig
Your knee fascinates me
Sensitive Dandy
Knight of the moonlight
Your kiss-proof make-up
Is melting at midnight
Prince of desire
Hypnotized by candlelight
You are so
Impertinent unreal
Curly King
Ecstasy is your possession
And not daily policy
Crawl 'round the Blue Grotto
Arm in arm with brother Otto

Swan-stoned Ludwig
You missed your flight to Disneyland
Where all your fantasies
Came to a plastic end
Swan-stoned Ludwig
You failed to find your princess
Playing with castles and coaches
Ends in distress
Your
Perfumed panther is watching the pleasure-ground
Dreamer of a self-made Atlantis

It was denied, to you to slay
Young Siegfried's mighty dragon
To join King Arthur's conference-table

Go down and meet, Ophelia
On her swimming bed of roses
She's the one to hold your hands

Sailing away, sailing away, sailing away
On velvet gloves and silky legends
To the Empire-Skyscraper-castle
You Royal-fairy-tale-rebel

Wide-Angle

Two white flamingos flew over my head
And I thought I was on that road
I used to walk with you
When time was like a piece of peach
Even a star was not far to reach
And we laughed the nights away

There was the largest crowd
Ever standing in the cloud
Don't ask who could create new things
The kids [....] from the music they heard
In the acid alley day after day
And now I feel it is
Have to break away, at the break of day
And like to open the sky

Please don't shoot (?the band?) to the moon
Let's go electric circus
They are so high in the dressing room
I'm drinking compromised cocktails
The (?countdown?) will be over soon
Biting your painted nails
A flower [....] from the sky

But he is still playing his guitar
He wrote me a letter
He (?sent?) to my window
[....]

Give my love to the sunrise
Give my love to the sunrise
Give my love to the sunrise

Please don't shoot (?the band?) to the moon
Let's go electric circus
They are so high in the dressing room
I'm drinking compromised cocktails
The (?countdown?) will be over soon
[....] your painted nail
A flower [....] from the stars
The flowers are gone
Are gone, are gone, are gone, are gone
The flowers are gone
He's back, he's back, he's back from the stars
The flowers are gone

Mr. Kraut’s Jinx

Mr. Kraut's jinx was an Egyptian sphinx
It happened during the holiday to the Valley of Kings
He got hypnotised like Peter Pan by the moon
The strength of a smell made him quite dizzy soon
And suddenly there were cobwebs all over
And suddenly there were cobwebs all over

And thoughts of forgotten riddles returned
It was like Fata Morganas that weren't
When saucers seemed to carry him up to the sky
Mr. Kraut, surprised, choked in a soundless cry
Considering those imaginations
Considering those imaginations

And the pictures in his eyes began to swim
When the extraterrestrials whispered to him
Now he knew the strangers were there for real
He wasn't dreaming 'cause he still could feel
When he pinched himself as a precaution
When he pinched himself as a precaution

And he thought by himself
Wherever I stay
Whatever I think
Whatever I say
Whatever I mean
Whatever I dream
I'm betrayed and sold
I am controlled
What will be there
What will be there tomorrow
What will be there
What will be there tomorrow

He was flying high for one night and one day
He knew he was already light years away
He was still disturbed and rather blind
What kind of new world was he going to find
But he felt they soon would be landing
But he felt they soon would be landing

And shapes of shadows were drifting by
He felt like an animal, scared and shy
The invisible ship by whoever it was steered
Landed softly but immediately disappeared
What the hell were they going to do with him?
What the hell were they going to do with him?

Somehow he was glad, but he was taken instead
They carried him away for another night and day
And after a while the darkness disappeared
It was the moment of arrival he feared
'Cause he knew the journey was now all over
'Cause he knew the journey was now all over

The enlightenment was shocking
He was put into a zoo
Plenty of beasts there
And no way out of there too
He was to be imprisoned
For the rest of his life
And all the loneliness
Without a wife
What a damned, what a damned damned damned future
What a damned, damned damned future
While he was pondering about his bad, bad luck
About the hopeless situation he was stuck in
The door opened a little and they thrust somebody in
He stumbled over there to find out what it means

What a gas when he looked there down to the ground
It was a beautiful girl that he had found
He took her tenderly by the arm
And said to her, don't feel no harm
Don't bother to worry, everything is okay
'Cause future ain't tomorrow
Future is today
'Cause future ain't tomorrow
Future is today
'Cause future ain't tomorrow
Future is today
'Cause future ain't tomorrow
Future is today
Future ain't tomorrow
Future is today

Dreams

I've been running thru my days
Been speeding thru your nights
Been hooked to all kinds of possessions

I've been wearing fancy beads
I've been tryin' all kinds of seeds
But I didn't see the light 'til I saw you

Dreams are our connection
Dreams for satisfaction
Now she's gone I see it clear
Spent my days in useless fear
Because she misses - me

Birds are wailing on the telephone line
The sun is shining thru their feathers
Catching my eyes for those aero-antics

The dumb bike-driver mutters
As I introduce myself to him
Pretending I'm the janitor's concoction

Dreams are our connection
Dreams for satisfaction
Now she's gone I see it clear
Spent my days in useless fear
Because she misses - me

Who knows when we will meet again
I hope you won't be cheating then
To hide

But if you do I won't be blue
I'll let my tears run free
Like the time - when I had you mine

Dreams are our connection
Dreams for satisfaction
Now she's gone I see it clear
Spent my days in useless fear
Because she misses - my sweet kisses

Gala Gnome

Could be building houses up
"Ramma Damma," said the man in München-Stadt
'Spite the Dresden domicide
I'll use the Marshall Plan and all our bimbos groove

Volkswagens left from the millennial Reich
Krupp giggles, morbid mascara
Mercedes idolised by the golden cow
Kant giggles, was it or to be

Could be flying to the moon
Maybe the nation will make it soon
Politicians praise the astronautic use
People bear the parliamental force chaos

Space programs borne by the majority
Ariel giggles typhoons through the orbit
Space programs paid by the underdogs
Ariel giggles pregnant hurricanes

Top of the Mud

I'd like to see us into
Somewhere where we've never been to
So let's not get waylaid
Not even in a dream
Dream

Might not be much fun
Without any fans
But who is to blame
If we don't sound the same
Same

As music's not enough
And pop is not forever
Forget where we came from
And move over much nearer
Nearer

I know when we hit stage
We hit nothing but rock
None left for the asking
No rocking the boat
Boat

I know when we hit stage
We hit nothing but rock
None left for the asking
No rocking the boat

Wilhelm Wilhelm

Wilhelm, Wilhelm, the nation needs you
'Cause a Kaiser is needed partout
Voluntarily willing
A welcome way in Compiègne

Ma-Ma-Maria-Theresa meets Marie-Louise
Kurfürstendamm relates to the peace of Schönbrunn
Deliberately puzzling
The crème de la crème of their age

"Rien ne va plus à Sedan," said Napoléon le troisième
For the sake of saving his face
Unwillingly visiting
Wilhelmshöhe im Wald

"Mirror, mirror," asks Bismarck beaming
"Who's united in this land?"
Deliberately lending
A hand to a entente cordiale

(Mensch, Willi, i lieb di ja so sehr)

Garibaldi's glorious gladiators
Guard the peace south the Limes
Simultaneously willing
Rosso bianco e verde

General, General who guards the Grand Canyon
Ulysses liberalises the KKK's regime
Indefinitely ruling
From '69 to '77 pm
