Giovanni Giorgio Moroder en 1969 publica su primer álbum That's Bubble Gum That's Giorgio con el sello Hansa. probablemente a la vez que el sencillo Looky, Looky. Sigue usando Giorgio como nombre artístico. El álbum aprovecha el éxito del sencillo, pero no llegó a las listas. En 1970 también fue publicado también en España, Argentina y Sudáfrica.

Se dedica más a hacer versiones de temas populares del momento que a la composición de temas propios. Se observa que la interpretación no es lo suyo, pero el álbum le marca el camino hacia la producción.
